Timeframe 3 period under Antichrist and leading up to the rapture is typified in the last of the 7 prophetic churches in Rev 3:14-20 called the Laodicea church (See charts below).	2 Peter 3	Scoffers in the last days saying 'Where is the promise of His coming' and willfully denying past judgments of God such as fall of Lucifer's kingdom (Gen 1:2) and Noah's worldwide flood and the coming worldwide judgments -'The Day of the Lord-timeframe 5'.
	2 Timothy 3	Perilous times in the last days in which men will be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, having a form of godliness but lacking the real power thereof.
	2 Timothy 4	The time will come when the Word of God will be changed by men walking after their lusts and turn the Word of God from truth into fables.

                       

   Revelations 12 is the clearest study of all the actors involved during the reign of Antichristleading up to the rapture. Rev 12 also continues the story of Antichristand what happens to the church left behind after the rapture - see timeframe 4 page 1.

2 Peter 3
1 This second epistle beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

  These scoffers (scoff - to mock or scorn) are mocking and scorning Christians in a day when Antichrist is promising the universe (see timeframe 1). These scoffers are walking after their own lusts , that is, indulging in the things of the flesh all the time and not wanting to hear of a Holy God they will have to answer to and be judged by. They willfully dismiss the past judgments of God such as: when God judged Lucifer's kingdom and the earth became without form and void and went through space in darkness (Gen 1;2 Jer 4:23); or the worldwide flood of Noah (Gen 6) in which only Noah and his family were saved to replenish the earth. These same, through willful ignorance are now denying the future judgments of God that God has spoken in His Word (see Revelations) coming upon the whole world known as the terrible Day of the Lord - timeframe 5. They say all things have gone on without interruption since the beginning of creation. This is not true but they are treating the Word of God as fables and moral stories but not to be taking literally. Peter is reminding the believers to stir up their pure minds of remembrance - in other words - do not be polluted by these false interpretations and twisting of God's Word. Remember with a pure mind that which you were taught by in the Word of God by God's Holy Prophets and Apostles that the Day of the Lord will come and Christ will return (see Kingdom). Peter gives the reason for the delay of the return of Christ and the 'Day of the Lord'

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

  God's delay is that God is longsuffering not willing that any should perish but come to repentance and not go through the terrible Day of the Lord. Nevertheless the Day of the Lord will come with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat and the sinful works of man shall be burned up (See Day of the Lord for a full understanding of these judgments and how they will be accomplished). Thank God the rapture will follow time frame 3 but be before the Great Christian Tribulation (timeframe 4) and the terrible Day of the Lord (timeframe 5)

2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that
are good,
4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions
endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto
salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

  We are told men in the last days shall be of this sort with a form of godliness but lacking the power thereof. This form of godliness is the lie of Satan that Antichristwill cause the whole world to believe in his reign. This lie is the same lie Satan used in the garden of Eden to bring about the fall of man (Genesis 3:4).

Genesis 3:4
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

  Satan is telling man that growing in the knowledge of good and evil we are gods in the making. Antichrist himself will worship a strange god (Satan) and a 'God of forces' (see Daniel 11:36). The great signs and lying wonders Satan's angels do to bring about the successful star war rise of Antichrist and his ability to make war (see timeframe 1) will further brainwash and convince many of this lie. They are always learning of good and evil but never coming to know the truth that they are sinners in need of a savior and Christ is that savior.

2 Timothy 3:7
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was

Fausset, Brown critical commentary says:

  Now--Greek, "But"; it is no wonder there should be now such opponents to the truth, for their prototypes existed in ancient times [ALFORD].
Jannes . . . Jambres--traditional names of the Egyptian magicians who resisted Moses (Exodus 7:11,22), derived from "the unwritten teaching of the Jews" [THEODORET]. In a point so immaterial as the names, where Scripture had not recorded them, Paul takes the names which general opinion had assigned the magicians. EUSEBIUS [Preparation of the Gospel], quotes from NUMENIUS, "Jannes and Jambres were sacred scribes (a lower order of priests in Egypt) skilled in magic." HILLER interprets "Jannes" from the Abyssinian language a trickster, and "Jambres" a juggler" (Acts 13:8).
resist--"withstand," as before. They did so by trying to rival Moses' miracles. So the false teachers shall exhibit lying wonders in the last days (Matthew 24:24, 2 Thessalonians 2:9, Revelation 13:14,15).
reprobate--incapable of testing the truth (Romans 1:28) [BENGEL]. ALFORD takes passively, "not abiding the test"; rejected on being tested (Jeremiah 6:30).

they shall proceed no further--Though for a time (2 Timothy 2:16) "they shall advance or proceed (English Version, 'increase') unto more ungodliness," yet there is a final limit beyond which they shall not be able to "proceed further" (Job 38:11, Revelation 11:7,11). They themselves shall "wax worse and worse" (2 Timothy 3:13), but they shall at last be for ever prevented from seducing others. "Often malice proceeds deeper down, when it cannot extend itself" [BENGEL].
their folly--literally, "dementation": wise though they think themselves.
shall be manifest--Greek, "shall be brought forth from concealment into open day" [BENGEL], (1 Corinthians 4:5).
as theirs . . . was--as that of those magicians was, when not only could they no longer try to rival Moses in sending boils, but the boils fell upon themselves: so as to the lice (Exodus 8:18, 9:11).

  We see then that the magic of wizards, sorcery, and witchcraft will have its followers withstanding God's Holy Spirit as to their evidence of godhood but lacking the real power but Satan's counterfeit and deception.

  Paul contrasts his life as an example to all those that live godly in Christ Jesus and that they will suffer persecution even as he did. Paul encourages us to know the scriptures that one learned even as a child for evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived and pervert and twist the very Word of God. Paul reminds us that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and can be used to know true doctrine, for reproof or correction for those in error,  for instruction in righteousness and being made perfect through obedience of God's Holy Word be furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 4
1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

  The Apostle Paul gives a charge (duty to fulfill) to endure aflliction, do the work of an evangelist, travel and preach the Gospel and make full proof of your ministry (gifts of the Spirit) and preach God's Word at every turn with longsuffering and doctrine. Timothy is an example of what kind of men we are going to need in the end time.  Paul says they will not want to endure sound doctrine but heap to themselves teachers having itching hears to hear themselves being clapped for  and exalted saying things that feed the lusts of their flesh. These teachers and preachers will turn the truth into fables (nice legendary stores with a moral lesson).

This timeframe 3 that ends with the rapture. Revelations 3:14 identifies this time period with the Laodicean church (see the 7 churches - Laodicean period)
