Revelations 19:11-21
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon
him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name
written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of
God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine
linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and
he shall rule them
with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty
God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF
LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all
the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the
supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty
men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both
free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to
make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before
him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that
worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with
brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword
proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
In the Old Testament the establishment of the
visible kingdom of God over the whole earth was a future event. The
book of Daniel tells the story of worldly
kingdoms rising and falling until God establishes a kingdom that would last forever. God
revealed to Daniel in Daniel 2:44, 45 (see
Daniel 2) how He was going to establish
this everlasting kingdom and when.
Daniel 2:44,45
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a
kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other
people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand
for ever.
45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and
that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great
God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is
certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
This Stone (Christ) smiting the image at it's feet and then the whole image crumbling foreshadows the return of Christ and His victory of Antichrist's goliath empire.
Daniel
saw a rock which is symbolic of none other the God's Son - Christ the Rock of Ages. This
rock strikes and destroying the image of
Daniel
2. The image when interpretated is symbolic of the nations that make up the last great
empire of man - Antichrist's Empire. When the rock strikes the image the whole image
crumbles and the rock becomes a mountain which covers the whole earth.
The Rock (Christ) becomes a mountain
that fills the whole earth
This mountain over the whole earth is a symbol of kingdom of God
established over the whole earth when Christ returns with His saints to destroy
Antichrist's Empire. This mountain is none other than the millenial reign of Christ and
his saints over all the nations of the earth.
The 7 seals of Revelations caused the earth to experience
worldwide war, famine, desease, earthquakes, fire, Satanic beings on the loose, mountains
brought low and valleys exalted, whole continents disappearing while new ones appear.
Total devastation of cities that have fallen and been destroyed worldwide while the earth
reeled to and fro as a drunkard in the
day of the Lord (Isaiah 24).
Isaiah 24:20-23
The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a
cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not
rise again.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high
ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be
shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall
reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
The tremendous heat of the trumpets and vials applied to the earth during the
day of the Lord melted the polar caps caused the earth to wobble terribly and finally
adjusting itself in an upright position.
All the extra water
evaporated to restore a canopy of water around the earth as it was in Genesis 1:6
Genesis 1:6-8
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let
it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from
the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second
day.
God allowed the water canopy of Genesis 1:6 to collapse and fall to earth
resulting in tilting of earth's axis; frozen polar caps; uneven climate; much shorter life
span
Genesis 7:17-20
17 And the flood was forty days upon the
earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went
upon the face of the waters.
19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were
under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
Job 38 Job talks of the polar caps as being used in the
day of the Lord
Job 38
22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast
thou seen the treasures of the hail,
23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
Day of the Lord - time
frame 5 is the time of trouble of battle and war Job 38 speaks of. During this time, great
heat will be applied to the earth and the great ice caps will melt with fervent heat to
accomplish God's will which is to restore the water canopy; make the earth upright again
and make the climate more even over the whole earth.
2 Peter 3:10
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the
heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat,
the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Psalm 148
is amazing psalm summing up the
previous verse. This psalm talks of the activity of nature during the
day of the Lord involving fire, and hail;
snow, and vapours (due to the ice melting and evaporating
because of the great heat in the day of the Lord). This
evaporation restores the water canopy which is not here now but verse 4 says will be created and established
forever. If it existed in the past (Genesis 1:6) and is not here now then it must be created in the future. It will
be crfeated by the time Christ visibly returns to begin the millenium. Praise God.
Psalm 148:4-8
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be
above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.
6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not
pass.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
The effects of the water canopy
restored during the Milleniun and the earth being upright will restore the climate
conditions that existed before the flood. The water canopy around the earth acts as a
filter from cosmic rays that affect our ageing. During the millenium, people will live to
be hundreds of years old as they did before the flood as recorded in Genesis geneology.
Isaiah 65 is speaking of millenium conditions
whem he talks of a child being a hundered years old and the sinner rejecting the laws of
the Kingdom could die. The wolf will feed with lamb and the lion eating straw.
Isa 65:18-25
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create
Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall
be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled
his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred
years old shall be accursed.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat
the fruit of them.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for
as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work
of their hands.
23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of
the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet
speaking, I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the
bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my
holy mountain, saith the LORD.
From the
above chart we see that Christ returns with His saints who now have immortal bodies they
received at the rapture and the tribulation
martyrs raised at the end of Christian
tribulation. They now visibly reign with Christ on earth as priests and kings during the
millenium. However, the people of the nations themselves that enter the millenium will be
composed of those who have lived through the
great
Christian tribulation and the day of the Lord
and allowed entrance into the kingdom of God. During those terrible days before the
millenium as much as 1/4 or more of the earth's population did not survive. Those that
make it into the millenium will be blessed indeed. However, they are not free yet from the
law of sin and death that works in their body and soul they inherited from Adam (Romans 5:12).
Romans 5:12
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the
world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Christ as the great creator will use the immortal saints (who will number in the high millions if not billions because these are the
redeemed saints from the time of Adam to end of the
first resurrection) to oversee the job of
rebuilding and reconstruction of the earth during the millenium. These immortal
saints who have been redeemed from a now prior age to the millenium, were saved at a time
when Satan was the prince of the air. They have been redeemed from every walk of life
known to man. Some were doctors, lawyers, preachers, deacons, carpentars, garbage men,
janitors, presidents, kings, queens, dentists, bus drivers, taxi drivers, , morticians,
etc. Some of these as sinners were former adulterers, liers, drunkards, effeminates,
homosexuals, murderers, thieves, haters of them that do good. The good news is, that
during the age of darkness when the prince of darkness ruled, they got saved and their
names written down in the book of life. Now they have eternal life as kings and priests
unto God and are using their new powers of their immortal bodies plus the unique talents
each one has, their gifts and authority given to them by Christ to rebuild every town,
city, nation, and country to perfect the Kingdom of God over the whole earth during the
millenium.
Immortal saints rule with Christ as priests
and kings for 1000 years on the millenial earth
l
Israel is the
head nation with Jerusalem as the earth's capitol
Gentile nations enjoy peace and righteousness
for 1000 years
Rev 21:1-3
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the
first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with
men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be
with them, and be their God.
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
After the 1000 years is finished (end of the millenium) John sees a new heaven
and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away; and there was no
more sea. This is very important to understand.
This is the same heaven and earth that existed before the 1000 year
millenium but made new. Just prior to the millenium their were great geological changes
during the day of the Lord ( time frame 5).
There also was the restoration of the water canopy over the earth and the earth's axis
becoming upright (see above charts). After that, their is the personal reign for a 1000 years of Christ and
the immortal saints as a time of regeneration, restoration, and reconstruction of the
earth. The end result after a 1000 years was what John saw - the old heaven and earth
passed away and made new. This is easy to understand when you consider the following
verses that are applied to a person that is saved from sin. Over time old things pass away
and all things are made new .
2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
1 Thessolonians 5:23
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit
and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
These two verses refers to a person that accepts Jesus
Christ as their personal saviour. The moment that individual is saved a process began
known as regeneration which ends with that person perfected body, soul, and spirit when
Christ returns. Yes, old things have passed away but through the regeneration of the Holy
Spirit and the renewing of the mind that person becomes a complete new creature in
Christ. This process may take a while to bring to fruition to see the results.
God did not destroy the individual that got saved for he is the same old individual but
made completely new. So it is with the heaven and earth after the 1000 year reign in
which Christ and the immortal saints as well as the nations work very hard to perfect the
kingdom of God. The result is the old heavens and earth that started with judgments of the
day of the Lord followed by the 1000 year reign
of Christ resulted in a new heaven and a new earth. Many bible teachers and scholars
show charts where at the end of the 1000 years God completely destroys the earth by fire
and then creates a new one. This is incorrect and distorts the whole purpose of the
1000 year reign of Christ and the immortal saints and that is to perfect the kingdom of
God on earth. It does not make sense to destroy that which Christ and the immortal
saints labored 1000 years for. The scriptures of those that advocate the earth been
completely destroyed by fire apply the verses that apply to the
day of the Lord which have their fulfillment in
time frame 5. The judgments of the
day of the
Lord take place after the rapture but end at the
return of Christ with His immortal saints at the BEGINNING of the 1000 year reign NOT the
end (see charts above).
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a
bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with
men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be
with them, and be their God.
The holy city, new Jerusalem,
comes down from heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. What a day that will
be. Imagine standing on the earth at the end of the millenia when the kingdom of God is
perfected on the earth. God now has a perfected heavenly people - the church which
is His bride and a perfected earthly people - the saved nations in which the last enemy to
be destroyed was death. Jesus offers up to the Father a perfect work (1 Cor 15:24, 28 as
quoted earlier). The Father now joins the Son in a great
spectacle event in which all creatures watch as this holy city - the New Jerusalem
descends in magnificence and splendor as a bride studded with glory for her bridegroom.
This is a marriage between the heaven and earth and also is the new home of the immortal
saints with the Father and Son . Jesus said to his deciples that in His father's house
their are many mansions and He goes to prepare a place for each immortal saint. Is this
city big enough for all the redeemed immortal saints? It sure is. We read in Rev 21:16 and when the measurements are
translated (12,000 furlongs = about 1500 miles) we find the New Jerusalem to be a city that is about 1500 miles high,
1500 miles in width, and 1500 miles in length.
Rev 21:16
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and
he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth
and the height of it are equal.
A city this big could allow for many multi-tiered levels. I believe
personally that just like the earthly Jersualem has its holy mountain Zion that the New
Jersualem has within it it's holy mountain Sion where God's throne will be. We read in Hebrews 12:22
Heb 12:22
22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the
living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
The city had no need of the sun or moon to light it for God Himself
will be it's light. God the Father will dwell there and the Lord Jesus Christ will rule
from there with His bride - the redeemed immortal saints. The New Jerusalem,
suspended over the earth at some height, is now the capitol of the universe over God's
perfected Kingdom on earth that will expand and increase forever outward. The saved
nations will grow in population and take dominion over the stars and galaxies forever that
God created. The Father, Son, the angels, and the redeemed immortal saints however will
remain a fixed number. They themselves do not increase because they do not marry and have
children.Though the immortal saints are at home in the New Jerusalem they can travel in
their immortal bodies anywhere in the universe and at the speed of thought. The saved
nations however, will be limited by their redeemed but perfected earthly bodies like Adam
and Eve had before the fall. They will always need the supernatural provisions God
provides for them that grow in the New Jerusalem. We read in
Rev
22 about the tree of life bearing its fruit every season and
the leaves for the healing of the nations. These trees provide eternal life for each
newborn born in the perfected kingdom of God and divine health and restoration for their
body.
Rev 22:2
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life,
clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of
life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the
leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
The new Jerusalem will be suspended at some height over the earthly
Jerusalem. The heavenly light of the New Jerusalem will shine down on the earthly capitol
of Jerusalem providing heavenly light that all nations on earth can come and walk in. The
sun and moon will still give light upon the earth but the capitol city Jersualem on earth
will always enjoy the heavenly glory shining down on her from New Jerusalem above (Rev 21:23-26).
Rev 21:23-26
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for
the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of
the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
These truths are also confirmed in the Old Testament in Isaiah 60:18-20
Isaiah 60:18-20
18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land,
wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and
thy gates Praise.
19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give
light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy
glory.
20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord
shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
The nations shall walk in the light of the New Jerusalem for all
nations will be required to attend specials feasts in the earthly Jersualem throughout the
year. We also read that the saved nations bring into the New Jerusalem their honor
and glory. As big cities have airports to come and go I believe the saved nations
will bring their goods and riches as commerce to the New Jerusalem and have access in a
big way to the New Jerusalem above. Such a large city as the New Jerusalem could have many
portals on each side for the saved nations to come and go no matter how big the Kingdom of
God grows. However, just like in the old Testament temples, the Gentiles were only allowed
in the outer court of the temple, so much of the New Jerusalem will be restricted to only
God's angels and the immortal redeemed saints who live there.
The perfected kingdom of God
population expands from a perfected earth to taken ever increasing dominion over space
The saved nations on the earth that go into the eternal
state after the 1000 years has ended had death the final enemy taken away from them. They
get to eat of the tree of life and are perfected as an eternal redeemed earthly people.
They continue to have children and their childeren have children and will eventually over
time populate the planets and galaxzies that God has created from the beginning for man to
have dominion over. The future role of the immortal saints as priests and kings with
Christ and being a fixed number will see their dominion and responsibility grow as the
kingdom of God expands outward from earth forever. Consider the following well known verse
-
Isaiah 9:6,7 and notice the
words 'of the increase of his government and peace there
shall be no end'
Isaiah 9:6
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and
the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be
no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to
order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for
ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah speaks of a child that would be
born that would also be a son that is given to us. Of course this would be God's only
begotten son - Jesus Christ who would be called all these wonderful names. This same Jesus
would rule over a government of peace that would increase forever. This part of the
prophecy reaches its fulfillment in the perfected kingdom of God at the end of the 1000
year. After the 1000 year millenium the kingdom of God will continue to increase forever
as the nations population grows and they begin to populate the heavens above - its planets
and galaxies in the eternal ages to come. Isaiah 60:20,21 speaks of a time in the future when every child born is within itself a
great nation.
Isaiah 60:20,21
21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall
inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be
glorified.
22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will
hasten it in his time.
God said this in His call to Abraham that he would be the father of
a great nation but Isaiah talks of a time when every child born is a great nation.
This indicates the great growth and expansion of the perfected Kingdom of God. Notice,
Isaiah first tells us that all the people are rightous and Israel has inherited its
promised land which is only the branch of His planting and that God would hasten it's
increasing population in His time.
