Jews shipped to Egypt from many nations to rid of them | Nation of Israel flees to Egypt in 'Day of Calamity' | Jews repent in Egypt. All eyes on Ethiopia as Ark reappears | 2nd exodus out of Egypt with the Ark of the Covenant |
Phase 4 -Page 1: The Jews come out of Egypt with the Ark of the Covenant with a great
demonstration of God's mighty power like the days of Moses and Joshua as they cross over
on dry land and defeat their enemies.
This is the last phase (phase
4 - see chart above) of the process of the mass return. .
Antichrist's rise and empire took place in timeframe
1 (see chart above). Timeframe 2 (mass return - see chart above)
we studied in phase 1 the Jews being
dumped into Egypt coming from other nations; phase 2 'Day of calamity'- land of Israel and
Jerusalem taken over by their worst enemies and they have no where to flee but to Egypt. Phase 3 saw the repentance of the Jews in Egypt and God
bringing them back into the bond of the covenant (Mosaic). The Ark of the Covenant reappears first in Ethiopia with a great
victory over Antichrist and foreign forces. The Ark is then given to the repentant Jews in
Egypt who were about to perish as a people and a nation. Phase
4 (current study) now sees the Jews in covenant with God and God's presence in their midst
because of the Ark delivering them out of Egypt a second time with the power of His Mighty
outstretched hand. The Jews come out of Egypt as an exceedingly great army and defeat
their enemies and take back more land than they had before the mass return and the Ark
will be placed on Mount Zion. Any remaining Jews around the world will see the Ark and
God's great deliverance out of Egypt a second time and they will leave their homes where
they have been scattered for over 2500 years and return. The Jews then will build their
temple and enter into a great time of prosperity and blessings (see timeframe
3). We begin our study of phase 4 with Isaiah 11:11-16.
Isaiah 11:11-16
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the
Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which
shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from
Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of
Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off:
Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of
the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall
lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
15 And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty
wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and
make men go over dryshod.
16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from
Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
11 And
it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time
to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt,
and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from
the islands of the sea.
The first time God set His hand to recover the
remnant of His people (the Jews),
was after the house of Israel (10 tribes) went into captivity to the Assyrians in 721 B.C. and the house of Judah
(2 tribes) went into captivity
to the Babylonians beginning in 606 B.C. and lasting 70 years. God said through the
prophet Jeremiah that after the land rested for 70 years then they (all 12 tribes) could return. God stretched
forth His mighty hand and caused the seemingly impregnable Babylonian empire to fall to
the Persian Empire and God through Cyrus the Persian king opened the door for all Jews to
return to their land. Only a small remnant of Jews from all 12 tribes returned to Israel
as recorded in the books of Nehemiah, Esther and Ezra (see
chart below and for a fuller
study see intro)
The Jews that did not return to Israel but remained among the Gentiles and
intermarried, God added a additional punishment of 2,520 years upon them and they were
scattered among the Gentiles called the 'time of iniquity' (Ezekiel 4) while their land and
captitol were under Gentile dominion. Since 1948 and 1967 their nation and capitol are
back under Jewish control but many Jews still remained scattered. God is saying in Isa 11:11 that He will bring about
circumstances a second time to recover this remnant of Jews that have been scattered for
over 2500 years. This process is called the mass return (4
phases in phase chart above).
Assyria |
Isaiah's name for Antichrist is 'the Assyrian' (Isa 10:5-12). Land of Assyria is Antichrist's Empire (see time frame 1 - Antichrist's Empire' |
Egypt | Many Jews will be living in Egypt before the mass return. Isa 19:19 says that 5 cities in Egypt will speak Hebrew and swear to the Lord of hosts. Also, tje Jews in Egypt from phase 1, phase 2. |
Pathros | The name generally given to Upper Egypt , as distinguished from Matsor, or Lower Egypt (Isa. 11:11; Jer. 44:1, 15; Ezek. 30:14) |
Cush | Cush is Ethiopia. Ethiopia plays a very important role for that is where the Ark first appears with power when Jews repent in Egypt (phase 3 - page 2) |
Elam | Highland, the son of Shem (Gen. 10:22), and the name of the country inhabited by his descendants (14:1, 9; Isa. 11:11; 21:2,) lying to the east of Babylonia, and extending to the shore of the Mediterranean, a distance in a direct line of about 1,000 miles. The name Elam is an Assyrian word meaning "high." After Antichrist forms his empire (timeframe 1) there will be a lot of wealth in that area and most likely will attract a lot of Jews. |
Shinar | Babylonia or Southern Mesopotamia, extending almost to the Persian Gulf. Here the Tower of Babel was built (Gen. 11:1-6), and the city of Babylon. The name occurs later in Jewish history (Isa. 11:11; Zech. 5:11). Again, like Elam a lot of wealth will attract many Jews to this area after Antichrist comes to power (timeframe 1).The land of Shinar is where the Great City of Babylon in Rev 18 will be located (see building of Babylon - timeframe 3) |
Hamath | In the valley of Lebanon, at the northern boundary of Palestine (Num. 13:21; 34:8), at the foot of Hermon (Josh. 13:5) towards Damascus (Zech. 9:2; Jer. 49:23). It is called "Hamath the Great" in Amos 6:2, and "Hamath-zobah" in 2 Chr. 8:3. Antichrist will have great plans for this part of the world. The city of Tyre will be one be the world's greatest seaport city (Ezek 28 - see building of Tyre - timeframe 3). Again, many Jews will be attracted because of wealth. |
Islands of the sea | This is an expression to refer to lands far away. Isaiah 11:12 says the Jews will come from the four corners of the earth. This of course would include Jews in the U.S. who will see the Ark in Zion and will rise up from their place of habitation and go after it. |
As we read on we
will see that those Jews that are in those nations listed here in Isaiah 11 that are not in Egypt as a result
of phase 1, phase 2, (see phase chart on top of page) will see (by television, internet, newspaper, etc.) the
mighty deliverance of the Jews from Egypt a second time by the power of God (phase 4 -
current study). They see the mighty miracles God does with
the Red Sea and the Nile, the defeat and spoiling of their enemies on the way, and the 'Ark of the Covenant' on 'Mount Zion' like as were done in the days of
their fathers in the time of Moses and Joshua. Then they will leave those country's listed
and return to Israel just as Joshua commanded the people of his day (Joshua 3:3).
Joshua 3:3
3 And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see
the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then
ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.
12
And he shall set up an ensign for the nations
The 'ensign' for the nations is the 'Ark of the Covenant' (see phase 3 - page2 where
the 'ensign' first reappears in Ethiopia accompanied by the sound of trumpets and first
major defeat of Antichrist's forces). It is this ensign(definition:an object like a banner, flagpole to rally to) The Ark of the Covenant
that the nations will recognize that the mass return of the Jews is the work of Jehovah
God who will sanctify His Holy name that has been blasphemed, and for those that say
Jehovah God is dead. Yet, what God is saying to the nations is that what I am doing for
the Jews is because I do live and I am faithful to my Word and My covenant made with
Abraham, Issac and Jacob concerning the land of Israel. God will now overthrow the enemies
of the Jews because the Jews are in the 'Bond of the
Covenant' with Jehovah God as outlined in the Mosaic covenant of blessings and curses,
life or death (see phase 3 page 1, intro). The
'Ark of the Covenant' is a
standard - an object that has God's faithfulness attached to it throughout its history.
Concerning this standard, God says in Isaiah 49:22
Isaiah 49:22
22 Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lift up
mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy
sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
God says He will lift up His hand against the Gentiles (God will defeat the enemies of the Jews) and
God will set up a standard (ensign from the Hebrew word 'nes') which is the 'Ark of the Covenant' which will be in Mount Zion after the second exodus out of Egypt and
notice the result - the children of Israel returning to their
homeland.
and
shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the
four corners of the earth.
The 'outcasts of Israel' are those that have fled to the neighboring nations in the 'Day of calamity' (phase 2) and many shall assemble together in Egypt.
Many of the 'dispersed of Judah'
are those Jews that have been scattered for over 2500 years. The word 'Jew' comes from the word 'Judah'. Many of those dispersed will be
forced out of the Gentile nations where they lived and shipped to Egypt (see phase 1). The Jews in Egypt will gather in an
area called 'the wilderness of the people' (phase 3:page 1 - Ezek
20:33-38). So we have in this verse the 'Ark of the
Covenant' in the hands of the Jews in Egypt and they are
gathered together in several locations in Egypt.
13
The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off:
Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
All tribal identities are lost but they are now one house of Israel in
Egypt. No longer two as they were in the the time of the Assyrian and Babylonian
captivities. Over the 2500 years both the houses of Israel (10
tribes) and house of Judah(2
tribes) were scattered. They have lost their tribal
identities and now come back as one people - as Jews. There is no envy that will
exist between them as in the past . Compare verse 13 with phase 2 page 3 Ezekiel 37:15-21 where God told Ezekiel what
He was going to do and Isaiah tells us how God is going to do it.
Ezekiel
37:15-21
15 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,
16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For
Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write
upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew
us what thou meanest by these?
19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which
is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with
him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine
hand.
20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel
from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and
bring them into their own land:
14
But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil
them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children
of Ammon shall obey them.
15 And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the
Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over
the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod
The Jews have now come out of Egypt (verse 15) with the same 'Ark of the Covenant' that destroyed a large
contingent of Antichrist armies on the mountains of Ethiopia where the Ark first appeared
to defeat the enemies of Israel (phase 3 - page 2).
There is no 'Philistines' today, but the word means 'strangers in the land' that is, foreign forces that had helped the Arabs in the 'Day of calamity' to take over Israel's land,
destroy their cities and make their land most desolate (phase 2). These foreign forces have seen what God has
done to the forces that went on ahead to Ethiopia (phase
3 - page 2) who met with complete destruction after the 'Ark
of the Covenant' appeared and the trumpets sounded. The world
that said 'Jehovah God' is dead are now watching all those Jews
they thought would die in the deserts and wildernesses of Egypt, now coming out of Egypt
as an exceeding great army. The enemy is now fleeing in every direction before the coming
'Ark of the Covenant'. They are
fleeing west - the nations where they came from which now make up heart of Antichrist's
Empire - Europe (see timeframe 1 and chart above). We are told the Jews will 'fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west'. To fly upon the shoulders means they have their backs turned and are
hightailing it back to their own land. However, the Jews manage to come back into their
own land and get an air force to fly upon these foreign forces and destroy them and their
tanks and machinery. Concerning the 'Arabs of the east' Isaiah says they will spoil (take their
goods), lay their hand (fight) on 'Edom' (south of Judah, from the Dead Sea to the Red sea) and 'Moab' (East of Jordan and the Dead Sea), but the 'children of Ammon' (east of Judah, north of Moab, between the Arnon and Jabbok) will obey them. The Jews will take more land then they had before and
most likely take this occasion to destroy the 'Dome of the
Rock' which stands on the Holy Place in retaliation for all
the destruction visited upon them in the 'Day of calamity' (phase 2). In the place where the
Dome of the Rock stood the Jews will build their temple in Jerusalem to house the 'Ark of the Covenant'. We studied Psalm 83:1-8 (phase 2 - page 1) which
describes the nations around Israel as confederate with one another in crafty counsel to
wipe out the nation of Israel so much that it will not even come into remembrance
anymore.
Psa Psalm 83:1-8
1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace,
and be not still, O God.
2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden
ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of
Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
Psalm 83:9:18, Isaiah 10:24-27, Zech 10:5-12 now concludes
God's judgments upon those nations that are fulfilled at this time
Psalm
83:9-18 9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: 10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. 11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: 12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. 13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; 15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord. 17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: 18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth |
Isaiah
10:24-27 24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt. 25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction. 26 And the Lord of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt. 27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. |
Zech 10:5-12
Zech 10:5 And they shall be as mighty men, which
tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight,
because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.
6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I
will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as
though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.
7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through
wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the
Lord.
8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase
as they have increased.
9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and
they shall live with their children, and turn again.
10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria;
and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found
for them.
11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the
sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be
brought down, and the scepter of Egypt shall depart away.
12 And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name,
saith the Lord.
Summing these verses up,
when the Jews come out of Egypt the Spirit of the Lord will be upon them mightily to do
battle for they will be zealous for the Lord of hosts. God's
mighty tempest goes before them.
Psalm 83:13 says make them as a wheel like stubble before the
wind and with God's mighty wind fan the flames of fire to burn them up like wood in a fire
and have them so ashamed that they may seek the Lord. In other words, the enemy is hit so
hard that they are scattered as if a tornado (wheel) hit them so mighty his God's mighty wind and lightning that will start
fires whose flames are so fanned by the wind that the flames overtake them.
15 And the
Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with
his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven
streams, and make men go over dryshod
Isaiah now says how the
Jews got out of Egypt. God will utterly destroy the tongue of
the Egyptian sea. Egyptian sea would be the 'Red Sea' because it borders Egypt. The 'tongue' would
be that part that juts into the land as seen in map above.
God will utterly destroy it. That means totally dry it up so that it can be walked over dryshod. God will also
shake His mighty hand over the seven streams (Nile river -
see picture above).
16 And there shall be
an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it
was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
There shall be a highway -that is- no obstruction but
a clear path back to the land of Israel just as it was in the days of Joshua when they
crossed the Jordan into the promised land. A remnant of his people left from Assyria will
walk this highway. This remnant are the Jews that were shipped to Egypt (phase 1) from Assyrian (Isaiah's name for the nations that make up Antichrist empire) that repented and turned to Jehovah God to obey all that Moses commanded
(phase 3) - they lived - the rest that did not
repent died in Egypt.
