Daniel 8:9
9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

  In Daniel 8 page 2 we did a full study of what the angel Gabriel told Daniel about 'the little horn' of Daniel 8:9. In that study we clearly identified Antichrist as both 'the little horn' of Daniel 8:9 and 'the little horn' of Daniel 7:8. Now we turn to the second part of Daniel 8:9, and again, like in our study of Daniel 7:8 (see Daniel 7 page 3) the book of Habakkuk fills in powerful details.

which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

  Daniel 8:9 tells us Antichrist's dominion waxed (Antichrist's dominion grew steadily) toward the south; and toward the east; and toward the pleasant land. The pleasant land is the promised land - Israel.  Israel has been a barren waste land for centuries since the final dispersion of Jews by the Roman general Titus in 70 AD. In May 1948 Israel became a nation and by hard work has turned much of the barren land into a pleasant land that can bring forth much fruit. In other words, this prophecy could not have been fulfilled before 1948 A.D.  This prophecy is still future and according to Daniel 8:9 will be fulfilled after the rise of 'the little horn' - Antichrist - an amazing prophecy indeed.
   If you look at the map above and the nations that are in south-east quadrant you will see many potential and trouble spots that exist today. You have East Europe, Iran, Iraq, Chechnya, Bosnia, Serbia, former Yugoslavia, Macedonia, Greece, Albania, Herzegovia, Russia, republics of Russia, Afghanistan, Kashmir, India, Pakistan, etc. It is not the nations of East and West Europe (10 horns) in themselves that are the transgressors that Antichrist will have to defeat, but those that are outside seeking to exert their dominion over that area of Europe - the 10 toes/horns - which Daniel identifies as the Old Roman Empire Area today (see chart above and Daniel 8 page 2).
  In Daniel 7 page 3, we studied how that Antichrist at his rise will bring under 3 of the 10 horns ( nations that are in Europe that are within old Roman Empire land area. At the time Antichrist comes to power, these three countries and most likely other countries not part of the Old Roman Empire land area will have already come under the transgressors dominion. As we studied in the previous study (Daniel 8 page 2), Antichrist rises to power by defeating the transgressors and freeing these captive countries. They in turn, unite behind Antichrist as well as the rest of the nations of West and East Europe and Antichrist's Empire is birthed and growing.  Antichrist acquires his kingdom part by war and part by great lies and flatteries(see Daniel 7 page 3).

Habbakuk the prophet on the visible starwar type air support that Satan and his angels provide to help the land forces of Antichrist be successful in their wars that form his empire

  Habbakuk the prophet complements both Daniel 7 (see Daniel 7 page 3) and Daniel 8. Habakkuk explains exactly the type of land warfare Antichrist will do and the exact kind of visible star war air support that we can expect Satan and his angels will perform. Understanding these verses will explain exactly what kind of signs and lying wonders the Apostle Paul warns of in 2 Thess 2:9,   and what it means when scripture says Antichrist is coming with ALL of Satan's power.

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

               Habakkuk's end time burden

Habakkuk 1:1-6
1 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
2 O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.

Habakkuk 1:7,8
7 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.
8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.

  Who is 'They'?. The 'They' are in league with Antichrist armies that are marching accross Europe to posess the nations that are not theirs (verse 6 - see Daniel page 3). The 'They' however are not land forces for Hab 1:8 tells of their air campaign of an amazing sort.

  We will study verse 8 next but let us finish verse 7. Habakkuk in his day never saw a plane, jet, helicopter,a space shuttle and here in these verses is describing to the best of his ability exactly what God showed him. The 'They' are terrible; dreadful; their dignity is not godly but they are their own god in themselves doing what they want to do and not answer to any other authority. Now verse 8.

Habakkuk 1:8
8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.

  Their horses are swifter than leopards. Horses in Habakkuk's time was the fastest means of transportation from one place to another. Habakkuk is not talking of real horses though but is clearly saying that the 'They'   of Hab 1:7 will have a vehicle of transportation that is faster than possibly the fastest animal he knew 'the leopard'. Habakkuk goes on to say their means of transportation can also attack a victim and mutilate it more than if that victim was attacked by a pack of evening wolves. That in itself is extremely frightening.

8 and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.

  Their horsemen shall spread themselves - the horsemen as opposed to the horses are the ones flying - that is - piloting these vehicles. Habakkuk says they spread themselves - to me - this means they array themselves in an attack formation spreading out over possibly quite a distance. Now we are told :

'They' shall come From far

  What is far today? When a prophet speaks, his words match the time he is talking about. So what is considered 'far' today when man is trying to land man on Mars. We are clearly told Antichrist's coming is with all of Satan's power, signs and lying wonders; that Satan is the prince and power of the air. How far his dominion extends above our atmosphere into outerspace we do not know.  Some teach that the sun is Satan's throne and that is why the worship of the sun god is so prevalent in history. We know that when Lucifer the archangel became Satan he was cast out of the first heaven and that 1/3 of the angels followed him. Satan and 1/3 of his angels must be very powerful if they thought they could take over God's throne by defeating the other 2/3 of the angels left. Since 2 Thess2:9 tells us Antichrist is coming with ALL the power of Satan, the scenario I believewhat Habakkuk is telling us certainly fits the times and clearly within the realm of reality. Rev 13:4 tells us Antichrist and Satan will be worshipped for their ability to make war.

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

  This is not hard to figure out what Habakkuk is saying here, and yet, God told Habakkuk that what He was going to allow to happen people would not believe it when they are told (Hab 1:5 see Daniel page 3). The 'They' here is the visible and unlawful entrance upon planet earth of Satan's angels using their powers to deceive the world with signs and lying wonders and help establish Satan's man - the Antichrist. In the past (Genesis 6) scripture records Satan's angels doing the same thing except to intermarry. Genesis 6 said this union produced an offsping of giants - men of renown.

Gen 6:4
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

  Both Jude 1:6,7 and 2 Peter 2:4,5 refer to this event, and that the angels that left their first estate ( their original dominion that God had given to them) to do that which was unlawful to them (going after stange flesh - human), are now are in hell as an example to other angels.

Jude 1:6
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of
the great day.

2 Peter 2:4,5
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

  Satan knows Christ is going to return and set up His Kingdom. Satan will make an all out attempt to prevent this. He will push his angels once again to leave their first estates and visibly appear in earth's atmosphere. We do know that Satan's angels are divided into principalities, Satanic kings, Satanic powers and thrones (Eph 6:12).

Eph 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

  These angels are not to be confused with demons. Demons are a separate class that roam the earth though they work in league with Satan and his fallen angels. Jesus said plainly, that as it was the days of Noah so shall it be in the last days (Matt 24:37).

Mt 24:37-39
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and
giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of
the Son of man be.

  In Daniel 10, God opened the veil for Daniel to see into the principalities, thrones and powers that Satan has and will be active in the last days (Daniel 10:14).

Daniel 10:14
14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

  The angel Gabriel (Daniel 10:20) by showing Daniel the satanic princes fighting for control in his day when Persian Empire fell to the Grecian Empire is explaining the rise of Antichrist's Empire in the last days will be the work of Satanic princes. Then the angel Gabriel in essence says now you know the truth of why I have come to you to show you how these events will happen in the last days

Daniel 10:20
20 Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.

  Do not expect the 'They' of Habakkuk 1:8 to make themselves out to be Satan's fallen angels when they unlawfully appear in the skys above and give their visible air support to help Antichrist and his land forces. Antichrist is in league with Satan and intends to create a veil of massive deception with his lying signs and wonders over this whole planet. It will be well orchestrated with a new age mentality to teach that we are not alone but their other races and gods out there - more advanced than us. The god Antichrist will honor is the one that saves the human race and welcomes earth in entering into the dawning of a new age of cosmic brotherhood and fellowship under the canopy of the everwatching gods of our evolution.  But to do this -first - Satan must defeat the transgressors to make himself and his servant Antichrist look powerful and believable. Antichrist must be seen as a leader to humanity and a bridge to the gods - a world's spokesman for Satan's great lies and deception.

8 they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.

  From the previous verses we have so far this scenario. Satan's angels speading out over a distance and attacking in wave formation. They come from a very far distance and when they destroy their enemy their remains looks as they were attacked by a pack pf evening wolves. Now we read 'They shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat'. This tells us, when they attack, they drop straight down from their attack position in increasing speed as an eagle hasteth to eat it's prey. Sounds like something we would read in a science fiction story and would expect flying sauces to behave like. What shape these flying vehicles have we are not told. Will Satan produce lying wonders such as a star fleet of mother ships these seeminly flying vehicles will drop down from and return. We know 90% of the world's population believes in UFO's.  You can take it to the bank that Satan will cash in on this truth and produce great signs and lying wonders to deceive the world and do something along this line of ET's (extraterrestrials) and UFO's (unidentified flying objects). Their are cloning organizations today that are telling us we were cloned from extraterrials and worldwide new age movement is in concert with this deception. 

Habakkuk 1:9
9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.

9 They shall come all for violence:

  Habakkuk now switches back to the ground troops which in verse 6 (see Daniel 7 page 3) were Antichrist's armies crossing right through the heart of Europe ready to do violence to the transgressors. Going before them to insure their victory is Satan and his angels doing their air campaign that we covered in the preceding verses. Satan and his angels are softening up the transgressors for Antichrist' s armies when they arrive.

9 their faces shall sup up as the east wind,
  Notice the eastward movement. That would be toward Russia if Antichrist starts out in the northwest. Remember, Daniel 7 told us Antichrist would bring under his his protection nations taken over by the transgressors. One scenario we talked of was Russia taken over East Europe to restore it's empire status again. This eastward movement then would be correct if Antichrist is now bringing these captive nations back under his protection (see Daniel 7 page 4). Again this eastward movement goes along with Daniel 8:9 (see map above) where Daniel saw Antichrist's Empire growing greatly toward the south and toward the east and toward Israel. To 'sup up' which goes along with the word 'waxed great' in Daniel 8:9, means Antichrist is take a small portion at a time like a steady moving east wind (so many miles an hour) as the wars wage on.

Habakkuk 1:10
10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.

  Antichrist, his generals, his armies scoff (ridicule) the power the leaders (kings) and their commanding generals (princes) of the transgressor nations and the weapons of power they are using to withstand their advance. The angel Gabriel said in Daniel 8:23-25 (see Daniel 8 page 2) that Antichrist will destroy the mighty with his power but that his power will not be his own but come fram Satan. Satan and his angels are doing all the hard work for Antichrist, going before his armies, giving him massive star war air support that will look like anything from fleet of motherships, UFO's to flying saucers, not to mention the weapons of destruction they will use that leaves their victim remains as if attack by a pack of fierce evening wolves. Satan has been around a long time and has access to materials we never saw or heard of that are in space. His method of warfare may be way beyond earth's present technology. It could be, he is using technology available to us but coupled with his Satanic abilites over matter  that can produce such lying wonders and signs such as the appearance of a hugh fleet of space vehicles that the world will be amazed and deceived by. We can only guess but God gives us enough information to see right through it if we believe what God is telling us.

|10 they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.

  Every stronghold the transgressors have, fall in the path of Antichrist's armies. Habakkuk says Antichrist's armies heap dust and take it. Habakkuk did not know or see modern warfare in his day and never saw what a simple bomb could do. But many of us living today can identify what the expression 'heaping of dust' means in modern day warfare. As Antichrist's armies come upon the strongholds of the transgressors they themselves are using whatever land or surface to air missles they have. As these weapons hit their target they heap dust and weaken the enemy. We can assume here, that even before Antichrist armies take any stronghold, that Satan and his angels did their star war air campaign softening up the transgressors for Antichrist to overcome and take captive those that remain.

Habakkuk 1:11
11 Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

11 Then shall his mind change change, and he shall pass over and offend.

  Antichrist is on the move bringing under his control many nations and countries. Daniel 8:9 (see map above) told us he will expand his dominion greatly toward the south and toward the east and toward the pleasant land (Israel). Habakkuk says that Antichrist shall change his mind and pass over and offend. Antichrist does not invade Israel at this time. All of these wars we have been discussing are happening to bring about Antichrist's successful rise to power to form his empire a number of years before the rapture in timeframe 1.

 

    Satan, and therefore Antichrist, would like to do away with the Jews in Israel at this time also but many are still scattered around the world. Antichrist has other plans to try and do away with the Jews worldwide. Those plans are studied in timeframe 2 - the mass return (see chart above).   However, While Antichrist is forming his Empire he passes over Israel at this time in his rise to power.  Habakkuk says after he passes over Israel he will offend. I believe this will be Lebanon.
Lebanon is strategic and economical window to Mediterrean Sea. We will have to wait and see what reasons he has for offending Lebanon. The rebuilding of the seaport city of Tyre on the coast of Lebanon and it's future destruction after the rapture have many prophecies connected with it and Antichrist. Antichrist will make the seaport city of Tyre the greatest seaport of the modern world as well as his political capitol (see time frame 3 page 2 and fall of Tyre).  Another city that he will build will be Babylon (see time frame 3 page 2) located on the Euphrates in what is now Iraq. This city will be his religious and commercial city that will dominate the world's economy and commerce for all nations. It too will be destroyed (see fall of Babylon) after the rapture - but first these cities must be built to fulfill all that is written concerning them.  This cannot happen after the rapture for God then begins to judge the church left behind and the nations (timeframe 4, time frame 5 chart above). Before the rapture there will a time of great false peace and safety and great prosperity and deception. This is the time of building these great cities (see time frame 3 in chart above).

11 imputing this his power unto his god.

  Antichrist successful conquests now being accomplished, Satan and his angels disappear as fast as they came. Lying signs and wonders from space and in our atmosphere end and Satan's allen angels having deceived the whole world return to their first estates - their home habitat in space. But just as the angels that left their first estates before the flood are now in judgment (see comments above on this subject) it will not be long before God is going to have Michael and his angels kick them out of their estates right after the rapture down to the earth (see Daniel 7 page 5, Daniel 8 page 4).
   Habakkuk never says that the 'they' that come from far (see comment above on Hab 1:8) actually land or come down to earth's surface. Satan and his angels came to do only one thing - do an amazing star war air campaign to establish Satan' s man -the Antichrist- and deceive the whole world as to who they really are and then return back to where they came from. Antichrist is now left on earth soaking up with enormous pride and power his victories and imputing his  success and accomplishments to his new age god. What the name of this new age god is we have to wait and see. New age talks a lot of the coming of 'Lord Maitreya'. Whether they attribute this name to Antichrist or his god we will have to wait and see. I do know this that Satan is using the new age movement to lay the groundword for a new world order, new age Christ, and one world religion. Who is Antichrist's god?. It is not the same God as the Biblical God of Abraham, Issac, Jacob, David and Jesus the eternal son of God. 1 John 2:22 tells us Antichrist will deny both the Father and the Son. In other words - the Trinity - the Biblical Godhead.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist, that
denieth the Father and the Son.

  Antichrist will not deny Jesus but to him Jesus is one of many gods. Not only will Antichrist deny the Father and Son relationship but replace the Holy Spirit with 'the God of forces'. The 'force be with you' is a term made popular from the movie 'Star Wars'.  Satan will capitilize on these forces of good and evil using Antichrist to worship Satan as a god and to honor in place of the Holy Spirit a 'God of forces'. Daniel 11:38,39 could not put these truths any plainer

Daniel 11:38, 39
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

Habakkuk reaction to God's prophetic words

Hab 1:12
12 Art thou not from everlasting, O Lord my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O Lord, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.

  What Habakkuk says are the challenges facing the church after the rise of Antichrist. Satan and his angels appearing as some advanced civilization to save the world with Antichrist now honoring a new and strange god and a 'God of forces' to replace the person of the Holy Spirit. His new age doctrines that we are all gods in the making will challenge church leaders to make a decision. Will they believe a lie or believe the Word of GOD. God's Word reveals God as Holy and everlasting while Antichrist denies the Holy eternal Godhead (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). The doctines of Antichrist will get into many churches with new ones being built and result in a great falling away from the true faith at this time (see timeframe 3). Rev 3:14-22 describes the last worldwide spiritual change prior to the rapture which will be brought about by Antichrist lies and doctrines that infiltrate the church (see 7 churches of Revelations).

Revelations 3:14-22
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

  Jesus talks to this church and reminds them that He is the beginning of the creation of God. In other words - God through His Son created all things as opposed to the lies of Satan and Antichrist and new age thinking promoting evolution and we are all gods in the making.

Col 1:14-18
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

  Jesus reminds this church that it is caught up in prosperity and itching ears to hear only what they want to hear that they had better get saved and come to him. Jesus has not totally given up on this church, but is outside standing at the door knocking for anyone to open. The church is too busy with its programs and increasing membership then to have Jesus inside and be preaching the everlasting gospel of salvation to a lost and dying world that is about to face a time of judgment known as the Day of the Lord. The doctine of the rapture and deliverance for the saved is replaced by dominion theology saying we must reign and be prosperous on earth first and bring in the Kingdom of God ourselves.

1 Timothy 4:1-3
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

2 Timothy 3:1-5
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Peter 3:2-10

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are there in shall be burned up.

2 Timothy 4:3, 4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

12 we shall not die O Lord, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.

  When Jesus was asked about the signs of the last generation before He returns He started out with two signs that connect with the rise of Antichrist and the lying signs and wonders talked about above that will accompany his rise (Luke 21:7-9). One was - many shall come saying 'they are Christ' (this is a new age teaching because they separate Jesus from Christ and having the Christ consciousness come upon you you will be ready for the new age - Jesus knew this and warns us). The other sign was 'wars and rumors of wars' and 'not to be Terrified' for ' the end of the age is not yet' (see Daniel 7 page 3 for full study on both of these signs)

Luke 21:7-9
7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

  These wars and rumors have this terrifying aspect because life as we know could be destroyed. These are the same wars we have being studying concerning the rise of Antichrist and what Habakkuk says. Habakkuk identifies with God's people when he says in Hab 1:12  'we shall not die' while Christ says her in Luke 21:9 'be not terrified' the end is not yet. The end of the age Jesus was referring to was the church age. The end of the church age will not end because many events concerning Antichrist will be fulfilled before the rapture like timeframe 1, timeframe 2, timeframe 3 (see rapture generation time chart above and chart below.

                           


  Habakkuk in saying 'we shall not die' is saying these wars will pass and God will use Antichrist as a tool of correction to accomplish his endtime purpose concerning the church, gentiles, and the Jews. Then Satan and his angels, ,Antichrist and his armies will then be judged (see Kingdom). Isaiah's name for Antichrist was 'the Assyrian' and in Isaiah 10 he sums up what Hab 1:12 has said about Antichrist being 'a rod of correction'.

Isaiah 10:2,13,14
2 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
13 For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
14 And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
15 Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.

1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.
2 And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
4 I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from
the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
6 And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had
seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.
7 And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was
moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and
brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram
to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it
cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
15 And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai,
which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was
afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
18 Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep
on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.
19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.
21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall
stand up.
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

2 O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold
grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never
go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder
marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.
7 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.
8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.
9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
11 Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.
12 Art thou not from everlasting, O Lord my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O Lord, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.
13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
14 And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
15 They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
16 Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
17 Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
